Polish KDE translation project is one of the biggest KDE translation projects. KDE Commit Digest produces a weekly summary of development activity. Two different projects, the same big challenge: their work never ends. How are they organised? What tools do they use? What can any project learn from them?

Polish translation team has as it goal to offer Polish language speakers KDE that works well in their native language. The project deals with user interface translations of all KDE applications and their documentation and the Userbase site. As new applications and software modules appear, the team has to deal with more and more software. How to assuring consistency between all the KDE environment becomes an important challenge, too.

On the other hand, the KDE Commit Digest deals with the KDE changes directly. The team's goal is to produce a list of important changes for each week based on the developers commit messages. With several hundred of commits every week, the project requires continuous effort of volunteers. The amount of work continues at the same level between the weeks, through.

The projects share a number of similar challenges and it isn't surprising that the solutions they find are similar. Both projects automate part of their work. They use common schemes, procedures, dictionaries... Some of them quite surprising. We will describe them in this talk.
