Lecture: OpenDocument Format in KDE Calligra and WebODF
KDE is member of OASIS and helps define the OpenDocument Format standard. In this presentation we talk about why this is important and what it involves. We will show how different OpenDocument software packages can work together. The live demo is an editing session using Calligra and WebODF. We show that features that are not supported in one of the participating packages can be retained even after a number of editing roundtrips.
The next step is real-time editing. We explain how it works in general and how WebODF implements it. The finale is a demo where we invite the audience to collaborate on a live document.
