Podium: Qt, Open Source, and Sailfish OS
Sailfish OS is a modern Linux-based operating system for mobile devices with a beautiful Qt-based user interface built by Jolla. This presentation shows the architecture of Jolla's Sailfish OS, tells the history behind it, and explains how Jolla's team collaborates with various open source projects such as Qt, Mer, and Nemo Mobile to build the system. We also explain the user interface concepts used in Sailfish OS and highlight the benefits we have seen in using Qt Quick to build the user experience in Sailfish OS.
