Technicaltalk: KDE on Android

Deploying application on a userbase counted in milions

Event_large

I will describe the needed steps to get a Qt application running on Android, trying to maximizing the code shared between platforms.

I started working on KAlgebra on Android more than 2 years ago [1] but I wasn't satisfied with the result and decided that I'd wait until Qt5 was released. Now it's running on Qt5 and available on the Google's Play Store.

I'll explain how I did it to properly build the project using the same cmake files we use on the other different platforms.

Also I'll discuss the best practices I've found to make the application the most integrated possible on Android while keeping the payload reasonably small.
