Hi all! My name is Leonardo, or amyspark for short, and I am a 28-years-old student of the MSc in Computer Science at the Universidad Nacional del Sur in Bahía Blanca, Argentina. My research subject is modeling, animation, and shading of hair and fur in feature animation. I got my BSc in Computer Science in December 2016 from the same university, with a thesis in collision detection and handling under the Unity game engine.
Previous projects include participating in the 2020 edition of Season of KDE, fixing Krita’s Lab and CMYK color space support, and Google Summer of Code 2018, implementing Zootopia’s hair shader in Blender’s Cycles renderer as part of my MSc thesis.
My involvement in open source software dates from 2016, when the author of Pepper&Carrot, David Revoy, introduced me to the Krita painting suite. Outside my research area, I was involved with the Homebrew project between 2017 and 2020, where my biggest contributions are Gatekeeper support and the upgrade system for Casks.
